Meets Industry Standard

Unity’s accessory items, as well as its knowledgeable customer service, are keys to our successful reputation in the industry as a single-source provider of this polyurethane-based adhesive for our products and services. We have grown by providing the best and safest glues for our interlocking joints through a series of advancements in design, giving you (the customer) the best bonding in a rubber tile/mat/block/paver.

Used in all types of climates, the high solids provide excellent coverage over the life of your safety surfacing, flooring and paver investment. There is no shrinking to create loose bonds, or cracking, that is common among other competing rubber tiles/mats/blocks/pavers on the market today. The CX-948 is AFG-01, FHA Bulletin UM-60, ASTM D 3498 approved to meet industry standards.

The CX-948urethane glue is used to adhere our product down to the solid sub-straight (DO NOT ROOFTOP MEMBRANES) and to each other (weather it is at the factory edges, at the interlocking joints, or on the “lead-in” cut). Our urethane glue reduces the need for additional materials, such as: pins, clips, fasteners, pegs and/or support blocks that may never be installed by the installation crew, contractor or end-users.

We advise against installing this glue product to roof membranes without consulting with you engineer, architect and local building code requirements first. Gluing our products down to a rooftop membrane will most likely void your warranty/guaranty. However, we do recommend that glue be applied to both the inside of the interlocking joint and on top (outside edge) for a free-flowing adhesion throughout the interlocking system, including the back wall, providing not one or two, but FIVE layers of protection that is unmatched in the industry today. Don't be bashful with the glue, as we are the ONLY manufacuturing company to provide a drainage port for any access glue to ozze down and out...........away from the top finish of our products giving it a clean, first-class look after it is installed.

Surfacing area must be structurally sound, dry, clean and free of dirt, moisture, loose particles, oils, grease, wet tar, paint, wax, rust, waterproofing or curing and parting compounds, membrane materials or other substances that may affect proper adhesion. During the installation process, it is important to maintain the cleanliness of the area.

It is important to store containers in a warm, dry area away from direct sunlight. Storing in elevated temperatures will reduce shelf life. In cool or cold weather; store containers at room temperatures for at least twenty-four (24) hours before using.
