Soft-Land is "Unity's" 3" (inch),
3 1/4", 3 1/2" and 3 3/4" thick rubberized
safety surfacing, flooring and paver products that are made
from 100% recycled tires and rubber granules. These double
tiles-mats-blocks with their double interlocking system and bolt-down
capabilities are expected to outlast anyone! They are
used to sit, walk, travel, play on or simply enjoy no matter
what the occasion is. This product is found mostly on rooftops,
playgrounds, daycare centers, recreational areas, pools & patios,
walkways, marina & docks, schools, rock climbing walls
and in water and amusement parks where an eight (8), nine
(9), ten (10), eleven (11) and twelve (12) foot drop heights
are needed. It is also found where a soft flooring, surface
or landing area is needed, for example: an assisted living
complex. Soft-Land has the highest drop
height rating in the industry for a single layer at only
3 ½” thick that no one in the industry can touch. They are
also used in many other applications that are found indoors
and outdoor as well including acoustical areas and rooftops
for noise reduction.
SAFETY - QUALITY - DURABILITY is what Unity’s
products are all about. They are easy to clean and safe
to use resulting in very low maintenance costs to the end
users. It does not displace during usage by anyone thus
creating consistent shock absorbency all year round. The
low life cycle costs makes for very good footing thus preventing
leg fatigue. Soft-Land does not harbor foreign objects,
such as glass, commonly found in loose filled materials.
There are no retaining edges needed and all of "Unity's" rubberized
safety surfacing, flooring and paver products are accessible
to the handicapped. They are also water permeable, easy
to install and are fully warranted which makes for a superior
product that no one can match.

Not only are they resilient, they can be installed
over most existing surfaces and rooftops, but they are also independently
laboratory tested exceeding ASTM (American
Standard for Testing Material), CPSC (Consumer
Product Safety Commission) and ADA (Americans
with Disabilities Act) safety guidelines and LEED certified
for:
Fall Safety Heights, Skid Resistance, Fire
Retardant, Weathering (Aging), Accessibility, Thermal Conductivity
Tests
Loose filled materials such as, sand, pea gravel,
mulch, wood-chips, bark, fiber or loose rubber are highly
dependent on maintenance. If not constantly
replenished and raked level by grounds keepers, it can often
fall short of providing safety to the area, thus requiring
more deliveries of loosed filled materials to be delivered
regularly costing even more money each and every year. Loose
filled products are home to cats and dogs for their liter
boxes. Bee's, hornets, wasp's and other insects like to
use these same surfaces as their new homes. Many people
dislike the fact that loose filled materials will build
up in someone's sneaker or shoe and is take into a clean
home, building, school, etc.
It should also be noted that a fall onto these
loose filled materials could also penetrate someone's protruding
cut, which creates a burning or stinging sensation. It is
also very dangerous to exposed skin causing a child or adult
to receive splinters upon falling or tripping to the surface
below. Serious eye damage can be created by light
airborne particles flying in the air on a windy day or after
a fall to the ground below and even from someone throwing
it. This is why architects, engineers, agencies, municipalities
and day care providers across the globe are planning future
projects using our Soft-Land products as the
newest alternative to flooring and surfacing.

Installation of this product is placed in the
intermediate category. Adhesive should be applied to the
base &/ or interlocks (bolt-down capabilities are available)
for extra strength and security. A utility knife or jig
saw is used for cutting, a straight edge to make your cuts
accurately, a straight line and tape measure is also needed.
A trowel or corking gun is needed for gluing purposes. A
complete installation guide/manual can be found here on
our Internet website.
